They explore a lot of opportunities, spend time to make a convincing and perfect resume, prepare for the interview well and come out of the interview room with a smiling face and hope. But even then, they don’t know the reasons what happened and they get a rejection letter or response from the employer. It makes them disappointed and sometimes they wonder why I am fail to get it.

Remember that you may not be successful in everything you set or desire. Be positive at that moment and don’t give up. Keep trying and learning more. Don’t consider you cannot get because there may be some factor out of your control. There may be some external factors hindering you getting a job. These factors may be some or more of the following:

  • The employer may have found another candidate with more experience or qualification.
  • There may be several candidates qualifying for the requirements. There may be tough competition and the employer had to choose any one candidate. It may be obscuring your capabilities.
  • They have omitted the position or it may not be available in their company which you had been looking for.
  • They may not need the employees currently and plan hiring for the future possibilities.
  • There may be some issues or disputes with their workers which they have solved and they have got them back. It causes the rejection of the interviewed candidates without any defined reasons.

First thing that you should do is accept the rejection with a smile without getting annoyed and shouting about the reasons. Follow the following tips to cope with the job rejection:

  1. It is good to send a feedback of acknowledgment about rejection. Say them a polite “Thanks” for the time and chance to appear in interview. It leaves your profession impression.
  2. Consider your options with a cool head and move immediately for the next opportunity. If you did not get hired there, there may be some better place waiting to hire you. Keep hopes and make efforts.
  3. Build-up the new spirits and rise-up with stronger passions to grow and dont burn your bridge. You may be considering it your failure, but it makes you stronger not only in attitude but also in skills.
  4. A good listener can learn more. So meet people, ask them the issues of your interest, listen to their experience and learn more useful things. It gives you confidence.
  5. Expand the circle of your friends and build-up your network with professional people. Spend more time in exploring information of the career of your best interest. You can get valuable updates from the contacts that are already in that career.
  6. Pick the right tools for the next opportunity. Studying books and browsing web regarding your skills will be of great worth for this purpose.
  7. Prepare yourself for the further by identifying yourself and the dream job. You must fulfill the current job as it is the best way to start a new career.
